You can use this form to order a Name Search and Reservation (if the name is available) in British Columbia for a small business or corporation. Since all names must be reviewed by government examiners, it usually takes 2-3 business days to obtain results. Search results will be delivered in accordance with your selected method of delivery. You may also want to consider performing a Preliminary Name Search to check if the name in not in use. This may save you money, as you can check 3 name for one small fee. Please note that if your name is rejected, the government does not refund the search fees. Please take care when selecting a name and make sure it is unique. Please Note: BC Government is about 1-2 weeks behind on processing approvals for business and corporate names. This delay is beyond our control. All registrations will be delayed accordingly.
